The Education Department of undivided Sonitpur District (Sonitpur & Biswanath) is scattered from Howajan the eastern part of the district to Sirajuli to the East and from the foot hills of Arunachal Pradesh in Northern range to the shore of river Brahmaputra in Southern part enfolding Plains, Forests, Tea Gardens and Char areas.
